My name is Krystle Padilla and I am the Principal here at Midland Elementary School. I am married to my best friend, Joel, and we have been blessed with two amazing children. I am originally from the Quad Cities area but have really become accustom to the quieter life here in Marshall County! Along with my role as the principal of this building, I also play an active role as a parent here at Midland as well. This means that decisions and policies that are put in place are determined with thought and reflection on how it will impact not only Midland Families but mine as well.
I fully embrace the philosophy of teaching the whole child and strongly believe it is our obligation and privilege to prepare students to be happy and productive citizens. It is my belief that our educational duty is to not only teach academics but also the social/emotional and critical skills which lead to success. At MES, many of these skills are taught through our PBIS system that leads with positive reinforcement and a priority on highlighting the positive in each student. Each child will graduate Midland Elementary socially and academically prepared for their next educational adventure.
Midland Elementary School has highly qualified teachers and staff who have put students' needs at the forefront of their daily mission. We prioritize reflection and deepening our instruction through purposeful professional development and team efforts on a regular basis. We work closely with our board of education and families to ensure that we are constantly growing and improving our practice. Our Staff works hard to see that each student receives an individualized and high quality experience here at Midland Elementary.
