Midland Elementary School
Kindergarten Screening for the 2019-2020 School Year
The Midland School District will hold its kindergarten screening rescheduled for May 3rd, 2019 at Midland Elementary School between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Children must be five years old by September 1, 2019 to attend kindergarten and must reside in the Midland School District. Parents must present a copy of their child’s certified birth certificate, which can be acquired at the courthouse in the county your child was born at the screening. Certificates from hospitals are not accepted by the State as proof of age.
The screening will determine your child’s readiness for kindergarten, and you will be provided with important information. Children who already attend the MES Pre-School Program will automatically be screened. No appointment is necessary. Information will be sent home with your child for kindergarten.
Appointments are REQUIRED for screenings if students do not currently attend our PreK program, and parent/guardian is REQUIRED to attend the screening with their child.
You may contact the Midland Elementary School office weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to schedule an appointment or for more information (246-2775). Parents who are unable to attend the screening should call the school to inform them of the intent to register their child.
